Uri Hartuv took home R7000 as the R600 Turbo ended in a 4-way split on Thursday night.
It was a very competitive field as 51 players took on the grind towards a R33 000 prize pool and R10 000 first place cash. GREAT VALUE!
Uri Hartuv stood tallest with the biggest stack on final table, which he was able to ride home.
He will be using his winnings towards his trip to Montecasino next week.
Gareth Duncan (2nd), Bradley Jansen (3rd) and Shameegh Suarez (4th) accepted R6000 as the smaller stacks.
It’s another good result for Gareth, who continues his lead at the top of the Concept Player of the Year rankings.
Benji Berman had a good run to finish in 5th place. His shortstack unfortunately got hit in the big blind, which saw him shove with top pair and a straight draw (75) on a 764 flop. Uri, however, landed top 2 pair (76), which held up for the knockout.
Brian Sampson couldn’t miss with Queens all night, but unfortunately bowed out with Pocket 3s when it mattered most. The small pair got cracked by Uri’s A4 ♥️ suited, which spiked an Ace.
Suvir Doodnath managed to cash in 7th place at his final Thursday appearance at Concept before leaving for Durban. He had bad timing when shoving Pocket 2s on the button into Uri’s Pocket Queens.
Riyadh Slamang suffered a bad beat to finish in 8th place and collect the R1000 bubble prize. Gareth shoved with 8s UTG, and Riyadh called with Jacks in late position. The 8 flopped to end Slamang Junior’s deep run.
