TERRY, SEAN CLAIM GRAND SLAM TOP CASH

Terry Hangone and Sean Botes were the big winners in the Concept Grand Slam event on Sunday.

36 players showed up for the exciting R1000 live tournament, creating a prize pool of R42 500. With R15 000 set for first place!

The top 3 agreed a lucrative deal on the remaining prize money, which saw Terry and Sean claim R11 000 apiece, while Suvir Doodnath received R9000 for third place.

Terry sealed first spot with the bigger chip stack.

Suvir also decided to use his winnings to secure his place in the Team Cape Town squad for your upcoming Montecasino Million Rand Chase!

Stephen Courtney continued his good poker form with another tournament cash. He finished in 4th place after shoving all in with K10 ♣️ suited, but fell to Terry who won with Ace high (AJ).

Marco Botha had a dream run on final table as he made a comeback with a single blind to finish in the money. He was eventually eliminated in 5th when he shoved Q10 ♠️ suited into Suvir Doodnath’s Kings.

Robin Kayalsum finished in 6th place as he tried to apply the pressure against Stephen, who went back and forth in a few hands. With blinds at 20000-40000-10000, Robbie bluff-shoved the River, but got called off by Stephen, who tanked before committing the chips with AK on a King high board.

Keegan Naidoo and Vicky Moodley were unlucky to bubble, but earned Player of the Year points for making final table.
