SUAREZ ON TARGET IN R600 TURBO!

Shameegh Suarez on target in R600 Turbo

Shameegh Suarez scored top prize in the R600 Turbo on Thursday night.

With no deals, the players enjoyed another entertaining midweek tournament.

And with the big blind ante structure tweaked, there was a great balance in the grind en route to final table as the game ended in good timing.

Shameegh was the last man standing in a field of 35 players, earning R8600 for his efforts. A great return considering he won his seat for cheap in the online satellites.

After recording great results on PokerBros this week, the 2021 CT Poker Open champion continued his good form on the live scene, recording all 7 eliminations on final table en route to victory.

The win came after a 20-min heads-up duel with Stephen Courtney, who chalked up another good Concept result in second place.

The tournament defining hand saw Shameegh flop the flush with K2 ♦️ suited.

Ryan David-Andersen played his first Concept game in a while. As a professional in the renewable energy industry, he says there’s so many projects keeping him away from the game, especially with the troubles at Eskom.

So he will be chuffed to finish in 3rd upon his return to Maitland. He was lights out in 3rd place after shoving Q10 with the short stack. He got called by Shameegh with AJ, which flopped top two pair and held up.

Robin Kayalsum made it back-to-back cashes in the R600 Turbo as he finished in 4th place (he finished 2nd last week). He did well to play his way into the money after suffering a few coolers before final table.

Robbie was all in with A4, and looked to chop the pot when Shameegh called with A5. But the 5 flopped to call curtain on his tournament life.

The Chetty’s have been in great form in recent weeks, and this time Ronica made the money in 5th place. She unfortunately had bad timing, shoving 89 ♥️ suited into Shameegh, who called with AK and flopped the Ace.

Uri Hartuv (pocket 3s, 6th place) and Herman Nelissen (87 ♠️, 7th place) missed out on the money as Shameegh Suarez scored a double knockout with KQ. The latter hit a King-high straight on JQ7910 board.

Herman had the bottom straight, but was placed bottom due to the smaller stack size preflop.

Matt de Klerk enjoyed a run to the final table, but his Jacks were cracked by Shameegh, who held AK and flopped the Ace.
