RIYADH’S POCKET KINGS SETS UP TOURNEY WIN

Riyadh Slamang’s double knockout with Pocket Kings set up his tourney victory and a R5000 cash in the R600 Turbo on Thursday night.

With the big pocket pair, Riyadh eliminated Willie Conradie (KQ) and Kyle (A2) Jaftha in 4th and 5th place respectively, which gave him the notable chip lead.

He then used his chip advantage to negotiate majority share in the three-way split with Alain Govender (2nd) and Mercia Sampson (3rd), who accepted R3500 in the deal. The surplus was donated to the dealers as tips.

It’s a good result for Riyadh, who finished first in the recent Concept Grand Slam, where he won R11500.

Shane Davids secured the bubble prize in 6th place.

Kemal Kahn and Aladdin De Beer fell short of the money, but picked up Player of the Year extra rating points for making final table.

All in all, we had 27 players enter the tourney, creating a prize pool of R15700!

WELL DONE WINNERS!

We now look forward to the R500 Satellite for Montecasino Poker Series on Sunday!
