Riyadh Slamang was the big winner in the R600 Turbo at Concept Social Poker Club on Thursday night.
It was a cold night in Cape Town, but Riyadh was on a heater and played his was to first place in a tough field of 33 players.
He agreed to a deal among the Top 3, which saw him receive R6000 as the notable chip leader.
Nathan Jacobus and Tony Smith accepted R4500 for second and third place respectively.
Allan Ranzani finished in 4th place as he tried to make moves, but just couldn’t pick the right spots. With the short stack, he was eventually eliminated when his pair of 7s on the flop were beaten by Nathan’s top pair of Queens.
Bentley Louw, who recently cashed at Monte Mayhem event, found himself in the money again in 5th place. He was all in with A10, but couldn’t crack Riyadh’s pocket Jacks, which held up.
A bubble prize of R1000 was created for 6th place, and this was collected by Cliton Taliwanth.
Misa Marinus missed out on the cash prizes but marked his return to Concept with a respectable 7th place finish, while Uri Hartuv was eliminated in 8th spot.
