MR CHETTY WINS FLIP FOR CONCEPT WIN

Francis Chetty took top points after a three-way cash split at Concept Midweek Game #10 in Maitland last Thursday.

Francis, Herman Nellisen and William Francis agreed to an equal R2600 split on the remaining prize money, and decided on points via a one-hand flip.

This saw Francis claim first with his favourite hand K10, spiking a K on the flop, while Herman and William finished in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Timothy Fairbairn also made the money on the night. Unfortunately he fell short in 4th place when his 6s were cracked by Francis’s 10s.

Paul Williams picked up the bubble prize as he ended in 5th. He also endured a mini-slow roll from William, who contemplated with Queens pre-flop and made the eventual call to score the knockout against an under pair.

Brian Sampson achieved another Concept final table appearance, but his two-pair got coolered against Herman’s flopped flush.

Preston Jonas had a good tourney, but his AQ got cracked by William’s J8 – the Jack hit on the board.

Ryan Rudolph and Robin Laguma rounded off the Top 9 on the night, and picked up a few log points for their efforts.

Gareth Duncan scored royalty points with his straight flush, which reached show down.

Defending champ Uri Hartuv couldn’t make it five Concept final tables in a row on this occasion, and his bounty was claimed by Paul, who secured the extra 2 log points.

WELL DONE TO ALL THE WINNERS!
