JASON “FRIED” CONCEPT COMPETITION TO WIN TOURNEY

Jason Fried was in cooking hot form as he won Concept Poker Club’s Midweek Game #10 on Thursday night.

Besides the play on words, Jason held tight and played aggressive at the right times to finish in first place.

While Charl September did most of the damaged during play at the final table, Jason ended tops in a short heads-up battle.

Dean van der Merwe was out first in 9th as Graeme Friester’s A10 cracked his 4s. The 10 was the window card on the flop, which ended matters quickly.

Kyle Heldsinger stayed true to the saying “just a chip and a chair” as he was left with less than a small blind with 11 players left. He managed to hold on before being eliminated in 8th place due to an unlucky run against Clinton Reddy. Kyle’s AK dominated Clinton’s AQ pre-flop, but a Q on the river ended what would’ve been a fairytale double-up.

Graeme then unfortunately had his Ks♦️♥️ cracked against Charl’s 10s ♦️♣️. Charl was the player all in, but hit a four-♣️ board to stay in the game for a big double-up.

Graeme was soon eliminated in 7th by Bradley Jansen’s 7s – ironic.

Jason then emerged as one of the chip leaders thanks to a big double-up with AJ against Clinton’s Ks. It wasn’t a kind night for the Ks, as an Ace on the river saw a lot of chips go Fried’s way.

Clinton soon went out in 6th (eliminated by Charl) before Samier Jamodien was eliminated in 5th place.

Bradley was out in 4th as his A10 couldn’t beat Charl’s AQ on a dry board.

Rashaad “Staggie” Osendorp got knocked out by Charl in third, which saw the latter hold a big chip lead against Jason during heads-up.

But Charl couldn’t hit best when it mattered most as Jason won two big all-in hands – K6 was the defining cards which saw Fried win Midweek Game #10.
