Imraan “Immie” Khan emphasised his current hot form by taking down his second consecutive Concept Poker Midweek League game in Goodwood on Wednesday night.
Following his victory last week, he also won a WPT seat in the Cape Town satellite at The Ritz on Sunday and cashed at the Sharks Club on Monday.
While he humbly admits he got very lucky on this occasion, you have to hit the cards to win tournaments. And he managed to catch more rivers than the Zeekovlei Yacht Club.
A financial split among the top 5 saw a fairly equal payout spread, but Imraan took down the top league points in a heads-up battle with Jeremy Jodamus, putting him comfortably at the top of the log.
It was great seeing fresh faces like Jeremy and Magnus Koekemoer cashing on the night.
Both Nigel Heldsinger and Carmen September made their third appearances at the Concept final table this season – extraordinary considering the huge fields in recent weeks.
