FOUR PLAYERS BOOK THEIR TRIP TO JOZI!

Franklin Jodamus, Gabriel Verhoef, Uri Hartuv and Brian Sampson booked their tickets to the Montecasino Poker Series at the R500 Satellite on Sunday!

The players agreed an ICM deal to finish the game at 8pm.

Franklin and Gabriel were the notable chip leaders, and secured R10 000 and R9000 Montecasino packages respectively.

Uri was not far behind, and agreed R8000 for his efforts, while Brian accepted R4000 as the short stack.

This means all four players will be able to use their credits to build their bankroll for the upcoming Montecasino Poker Series from 24 March to 3 April.

Cliton Taliwanth was the unfortunate bubble boy, falling out with J10. He shoved with a short stack in late position, but ran into Uri with A2. The Ace flopped and held up.

Barry Stemmet finished in 6th place as his A10 couldn’t outpace Franklin’s pocket 10s.

Herman Nellisen suffered a bad beat in 7th place as his AK got cracked by Franklin’s AQ, which flopped and turned a Q for trips.

Strini Govender was eliminated in 8th place in the sickest hand of the tournament. He flopped the nuts with AQ on the KJ10 flop. Gabriel called his all in shove, and hit runner runner 10 A for an unlikely full house.

All in all, we had 21 players entered, creating a R31 000 prize pool (after deductions). This was originally structured for 2 x Main Event + accommodation packages for first and second, with R5000 reserved for third.

WELL DONE WINNERS!

The Montecasino satellites will be on a break this week, and will resume next week.

We now focus on the monthly Concept Grand Slam (R1000 + optional R500 lifeline) for cash prizes.

Riyadh Slamang and Herman Nelissen agreed to split the last tournament, which saw them win R11500 apiece.

There will be plenty of satellite opportunities this week to win your seats for cheap!
