CONCEPT GIVES BACK TO HANNAH’S PLACE OF SAFETY!

Concept Social Poker Club donated R2200 worth of goods to Hannah’s Place of Safety in Mitchell’s Plain.

The organisation is home to abused and abandoned babies and children on the Cape Flats.

The founder Janine has previously volunteered at other children’s homes before being inspired to launch one in her own community. The home is named after her daughter Hannah, who was abandoned by birth.

Hannah’s Place of Safety is committed to welcoming all children in need and treat them like family. They provide necessary medical, dental and emotional support to heal them physically, mentally and spiritually. They also work hard to prepare the children for a better life.

Hannah and her staff were on hand to receive the donated goods, which included much-needed nappies and baby formula, as well as general cleaning products.

“Thanks to all the players who continue to support our charity arm via the Lucky Dip initiative,” says Concept’s Gareth Duncan.

“We remain committed to giving back to our community, especially during this time of struggle and need.

“Baby goods, like formula and nappies, are very expensive, so these donations will go along way to help the kids at Hannah’s Place of Safety.”
