CLIFFY TOPS IN R600 TURBO!

Clifford Fortuin was the big winner in the R600 Turbo #8 at Concept on Thursday night.

On a cold and wet evening in Maitland, 34 players showed up for an enjoyable grind towards a R21 600 prize pool. A decent turnout for a game day before payday!

Cliffy enjoyed the bigger piece of the three-way split, taking home R6000 for first place.

Francis Vanderlinden and Graham Bake agreed to R4500 for second and third place respectively.

Grant Hansen enjoyed a nice run in his karate pants, finishing in 4th place. He was all in with the short stack in a 3-way pot, which was taken by Graham (K4) who flopped trip 4s.

Nick Gara was in a joyous mood on the tables as always, and managed to play his way to 5th place. He was all in with pocket 6s and called by Francis, who tabled A8 and spiked an Ace.

Ben Umbhau made back-to-back final tables, finishing in 6th place on this occasion. He shipped with A8 and ran into Cliffy, who called with AJ and hit a Jack on the Turn.

A bubble prize was created for 7th place, which was collected by Renier Stalmeester.

Renier enjoyed a deep run, but found himself short and eventually all in with 89. He was dominated by Graham with K9, who flopped two pair to score the knockout.

Nigel Heldsinger and Cameron Ohlson just missed out on the money places, but gained extra Player of the Year points for making final table.

WELL DONE WINNERS!

No game this weekend as we gear up for the final fixtures at the Maitland venue… ahead of the big move.

We look forward to the R600 Turbo #9 on Thursday, 30 March. And the Concept Grand Slam on Sunday, 1 April.
