Cas du Toit played his way to the top prize in the R600 Turbo at Concept on Thursday night.
With the biggest stack among the final 3, Cas negotiated R7000 for first place.
Concept newcomer Elvin Allies enjoyed his first major finish in second place, while Tony Smith finishes up the podium in third place. Both players accepted R5500 respectively.
Keegan Naidoo suffered a bad beat with Kings in 4th place as the big pair got cracked by Tony’s pocket 3s – the small set landed on the River.
Cameron Ohlson shoved A10 into Cas’s pocket 10s, the pair held up to take down a big pot.
A bubble prize was created for 6th place, which was collected by Nigel Heldsinger. His pocket 9s were cracked by Elvin’s A5, which spiked an Ace on the Turn.
George Hendricks and Kemal Kahn missed out on the money, but earn Player of the Year points for making final table.
George got unlucky with pocket 7s in 7th place when Tony called a raise in the big blind with J3, and flopped the Jack.
Kemal was coolered in 8th place, running Jacks into Tony’s Aces.
All in all, we had 37 players turn up for the tournament, *_creating a healthy pot of R23800!*_
