BENTLEY CRUISES TO CONCEPT VICTORY

Bentley Louw shifted into top gear on final table to take first place at Concept Midweek Game #19 in Goodwood on Thursday night.

Bentley has been one of the more consistent players in recent weeks, making two previous final tables over the past month. And it was third time lucky as he went all the way to gold on this occasion – beating a field of 44 players to be last man standing.

The final table saw the main prize purse of seven places split among the final 9, which meant everyone were made the money.

Bentley executed the first elimination as Riyadh Slemang was out in 9th. Riyadh was all in with A9 and was dominated by Bentley’s AQ, which stood strong on a dry board.

Robin Kayalsum made a short stack move with J8 ♠️ suited, and was called by Carmen September holding J10 ♥️ suited. Carmen secured the knockout with a flush.

Steve Clarence has bad timing making a play with 910, and found himself in a three-way, double all-in pot with Kersh Julie (9s) and Clint Solomons (AK). Kersh held up to take the main pot, while Clint’s big Ace was enough to take the side pot and eliminate Steve in 7th.

Carmen was out in 6th when her AJ ♥️ suited ran into Bradley Jansen’s Kings. The big pair held up, avoiding the A to score the knockout.

Darryn Lee found fortune with 8s against Kersh (A10) and Bradley (A6). The pair hit a set, which saw Kersh exit in 5th.

Bentley (AK) and Clint (AJ) went to showdown with strong Aces. And on a KQJ flop, Bentley held up to send Clint to the rail in 4th.

Bradley Jansen was next out as he was eliminated by Bentley, who hit a Jack with AJ.

This saw a heads-up battle go down between Darren and Bentley, who scored the tournament win with A3.
