NIGEL CONTINUES HOT STREAK

Nigel Heldsinger and Alain Isaacs win at Concept Social Poker Club

Nigel Heldsinger took down another R600 Turbo title at Concept Social Poker Club in Maitland on Thursday night.

Nigel has recorded impressive results in the regular Thursday fixture this year, and he delivered another good performance this week.

This time, he was last man standing in a field of 32 players, which created a prize pool of R20 000.

This was largely due to the big pot he caught against Franklin Jodamus on final table, where he flopped set over set with Kings against 10s to gain a massive chip lead.

He used his chip advantage to good effect when blinds peaked, which earned him R7000 _(a R1000 bubble prize was created for 6th place)._

Nigel beat Alain Isaacs in the heads-up battle. The tourney winning-hand saw Nigel ahead preflop with A10 against the latter’s 75. The 5 paired on the River, but it also gave Nigel The Wheel on a 32345 board.

Alain cashed R5000 for second place – great value considering he won his seat for just R150 in a PokerBros Satellite.

Cameron Ohlson finished in third place as he was knocked out by Nigel, who hit a 4-card straight with K8.

Rashid Harricombe finished in 4th place as he shoved all in with K10. He was called by Alain, who flopped a set of 6s.

Brian Sampson reached 5th place as he was all in with K2 and called by Nigel with A5 ♦️suited among the blinds. The board ran dry to see Nigel score the knockout with A high.

The bubble prize of R1000 in 6th place was collected by Reza Slamang.

Franklin and Lyle Julien missed out on the money in 7th and 8th place respectively.

WELL DONE WINNERS!

There is a change to the poker schedule for June/July due to Father’s Day last weekend.
