CLITON, PETER WIN TOP PRIZES FOR THE MONTE MILLION!

Cliton Taliwanth recorded a double knockout in the tournament-defining hand to secure the top prizes at Million Rand Chase Satellite on Sunday.

With an all-in shove from Ronica Chetty and a flat call from Bentley Louw before him, Cliton shoved over the top in the big blind.

After tanking, Bentley made the call with A10. Mrs Chetty showed A5, while Cliton tabled pocket 6s.

The board saw Cliton hit trips on the Flop, and a Full House on the River to finish in 1st place.

This automatically saw Peter Jacobs finish in second place.

Cliton and Peter win full R11 000 packages for the big game at Montecasino, which includes a buy-in, add on, flights (R2000) and mansion accommodation (R2000).

Bentley and Mrs Chetty claimed the mini packages in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

This means four more players join Team Cape Town for the trip to Jozi from 13-15 May 2022.

Herman Nelissen unfortunately blew up on the bubble. He was in a three-way all in hand, which was scooped by Peter who hit a set of 6s on the flop.

Martin Smit led the charge for a strong appearance from the Lions Head Poker Club, but unfortunately missed out on the prizes in 6th place.

Brian Sampson was caught by the blinds, and lost his last chips to Ronica, who raked in a pot with A high.

Francis Chetty was the first elimination on final table, after making a good call with 109 on a KK9 flop. But Bentley held the flush draw, and hit it the ♠️ on the Turn to win the hand.

All in all, we had 34 players enter the creating a *prize pool of R37000!* (after 11% membership fees for running expenses)

WELL DONE WINNERS!

We now look forward to the Concept Grand Slam on Sunday, 1 May 2022.
