ROBBIE RUNS GOOD TO GRAND SLAM WIN!

Robin Kayalsum played his way to first place in the Concept Grand Slam on Sunday.

It was a great tournament on all accounts as 40 players entered, creating a prize pool of R47500!

Robin managed to catch big pots en route to the top prize, which saw him build a notable chip lead on final table.

The game was brought to an end via an ICM deal among the final 6, which saw Robin take home R15 000 for gold.

Strini Naidoo, who played a solid game from the start, accepted R10 000 for second.

Murwaan Moses and Cliton Taliwanth both took home R8000 for 3rd and 4th place respectively, while Alain Govender accepted R6500 as the short stack.

Murwaan was making his debut at Concept Social Poker Club, having won his seat via a Freeroll Satellite. So he got great return on his efforts.

Shadley Abrahams made the money in 6th place as he was eliminated in a 3-way all in pot. He showed Pocket Jacks against Strini’s Pocket Kings and Alain’a A10 ♠️ suited.

The flop ran KQ5, to see Strini soar ahead in the race with top set. But a miracle Jack on the Turn gave Alain the straight. The River brought a 10, gifting Alain a decent pot and eliminating Shadley.

Francis Chetty and Uri Hartuv were the unfortunate bubble boys on the final table. There were attempts for a deal to be made for all 8 players to be in the money, but this deal failed to materialise.

WELL DONE TO THE WINNERS!

The Concept Grand Slam is proving to be an exciting monthly tournament. The next one will only likely run in April due to the upcoming Montecasino Poker Series in March.

The next live tournament will be the popular R600 Turbo on Thursday at 7PM.
